Hi, I'm Amanda King-Brown, the person behind A. King's Design. I’m so glad you’re here! A. King’s Design started with something simple: a love for creating beautiful things. But over time, I realized it was about so much more than that. It became a place where my creativity, my faith, and my love for making a house feel like home could all come together.

The Meaning Behind A. King’s

The name A. King’s Design is deeply personal to me. “A. King” comes from my maiden name, King. But there is another meaning behind it that is even more important to me. One King. One true God.  My faith is at the heart of who I am, and I believe the creativity I have is a gift from Him. When I create, I want to remember where that gift came from and who deserves the glory for it.  That is where my heart behind A. King’s Design comes from...To make everything beautiful through God. Not because everything in life is perfect. It isn’t. But because I believe there is beauty to be found in the everyday—in the way we gather around a table, welcome people into our homes, celebrate the little things, give a thoughtful gift, or simply create a space that feels like us.

More Than Things

I’ve always loved the process of taking an idea and turning it into something real. There is something special about finding a piece that makes you smile, a gift that feels like it was made for someone you love, or something for your home that makes an ordinary day feel a little more special. That is what I want A. King’s Design to be. A collection of things that are beautiful, meaningful, fun, and sometimes just make you say, “I need that.” From home décor and entertaining pieces to little luxuries, seasonal finds, gifts, and things I simply fall in love with along the way, I’m always looking for pieces that I would genuinely want in my own home.

The Person Behind the Business

A. King’s Design is a reflection of me. I’m a Christian, wife, and mom, a creative, a business owner, and a woman who is still figuring things out as I go. I didn’t start with everything perfectly planned. I’ve learned by doing. I’ve changed directions. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve started over. I’ve had seasons where things felt exciting and seasons where they felt really hard. But through all of it, I’ve continued to come back to the same thing:

Create. Make it beautiful. Give God the glory.

I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has supported this little business—whether you’ve purchased something, shared a post, visited my shop, told a friend about A. King’s Design, or simply followed along. You are part of the story, too. Thank you for being here.

My hope is that when you shop A. King’s Design, you find something that makes you happy. Maybe it’s something for your home. Maybe it’s something that makes entertaining a little more fun. Maybe it’s a gift for someone you love. Or maybe it’s simply something that makes you smile when you walk past it. Whatever brings you here, thank you.
